2015 FACTORY FIVE 818S



This Factory Five Racing 818S is a tube-frame kit car that is powered by a turbocharged 2.125-liter Subaru flat-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Engine modifications include an EJ257-specification crankshaft, Manley 92.5mm pistons, Manley connecting rods, ACL engine bearings, ARP head studs, and an air-to-water intercooler. The fiberglass body is finished in blue, and the car is equipped with a carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser in addition to 17″ Enkei wheels, Wilwood brakes, Koni coilovers, a Sparco steering wheel, and Kirkey race seats with G-Force harnesses.



The fiberglass body panels were finished in Porsche-sourced Iris Blue Metallic in 2018 following bodywork that included installing a revised front end and correcting panel gaps on the vehicle. A carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser are equipped. The right headlight cover has been replaced and is secured with double-sided tape. Exterior paint blemishes and chips are noted.



Gold-finished 17″ Enkei RPF1 wheels wear 215/40 front and 235/40 rear Falken Azenis tires. The car is equipped with Koni coilovers and four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes with cross-drilled and slotted rotors.

 

The interior houses Kirkey race seats upholstered in black and equipped with G-Force harnesses. Additional equipment includes a centrally mounted boost gauge and an exposed billet-aluminum shifter assembly.

A Sparco steering wheel sits ahead of a 140-mph speedometer, 9k-rpm tachometer, and combination gauge. The digital odometer shows 4,300 miles.

 

The mid-mounted turbocharged EJ205 flat-four was reportedly sourced from a 2004 Subaru WRX, rebuilt in 2013, and stroked to displace 2.125 liters. Additional components replaced or installed under current ownership include the following:


  • Manley 92.5mm pistons

  • Manley forged H-beam connecting rods

  • EJ257 crankshaft

  • Blouch 16G Turbo

  • ARP head studs

  • ACL main and connecting bearings

  • Timing belt kit

  • Air-to-water intercooler

  • Walbro 255 fuel pump

  • Ten-gallon Boyd Welding fuel tank


 

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a WRX five-speed manual transaxle with a Modena limited-slip differential. An ACT flywheel is fitted. The seller notes that the gear ratios have been modified with a PPG 1-4 gear set connected to a K-tuned billet shifter assembly.
